Tell us a little bit about yourself, your background, your interests, etc.
I grew up in Greenville, but I've lived in the South Delta for 40 years. My husband and I have three grown children and four grandchildren. We attend Chapel of the Cross Episcopal Church.
Do you have a favorite book? How about a favorite movie?
My favorite book is Lonesome Dove.
If you could wake up in the morning and start a new adventure, what would it be?
I would go back to school and study art.
What is your favorite thing about teaching?
My favorite thing is when a student suddenly understands the point I am making.
When you're not working, how do you spend your time?
I love to spend time with my grandchildren. I also love to travel.
What might we be surprised to know about you?
I'm a 9th generation Mississippian. My ancestors were Scottish. They first came to South Carolina and then to the Mississippi territory in 1809.
